Nexus Robot 14131R: right Mecanum wheel with 254 mm diameter, 95 mm width and 12 rollers. Roller material: Nylon. Load capacity: >50 kg per wheel.

Nexus Robot 14131R – Right Mecanum Wheel 254 mm

The Nexus Robot 14131R is a right Mecanum wheel with a 254 mm diameter. The wheel has a width of 95 mm and 12 rollers. Wheel body: Aluminum alloy. Roller material: Nylon.

Applications for the 14131R

The 14131 series uses aluminum bodies and nylon rollers in a 254 mm size. Alongside robotics and automated logistics, the article descriptions identify research, education and stage equipment as application areas.

Industrial automation
Robotics
Transportation and logistics
Education and research
Event technology

Suitability for a specific project depends on the load, floor surface, drive, control system and mechanical design.

Version and chassis arrangement – 14131R

The 14131R is the right-hand version. When adding or replacing a wheel, check its right-hand roller arrangement against the dimensions and layout of the existing chassis. Lateral, diagonal and rotational platform movement requires correctly arranged wheels and coordinated drives.

Materials and dimensions of the 14131R

Wheel body: Aluminum alloy. Roller material: Nylon. The 95 mm width and specified weight of 3.0 kg are included in the table below for installation planning.

Technical Specifications – Nexus Robot 14131R

Manufacturer / Brand	Nexus Robot

Load capacity note: The specification >50 kg per wheel must be used with its stated basis. Do not derive a higher platform load by simply multiplying this figure; load distribution, center of gravity and driving maneuvers must be considered in the design.

Mounting and mechanical connection of the 14131R

Before installing the 14131R, check the wheel interface, shaft diameter, fasteners, bearing arrangement and clearance for the rollers. Select the hub or coupling from the actual interface and technical drawing. Wheel diameter alone does not establish compatibility with a particular accessory hub.

To integrate the Nexus Robot 14131R, plan the wheel, hub or coupling and motor shaft as one mechanical connection. The specified 95 mm wheel width needs to be considered alongside the position of the motor in the frame. Use the mounting interface and available technical files to establish how the wheel is secured and how much space remains between the wheel body, frame and drive.

The rollers need clearance around the entire wheel circumference. Allow space for screw heads, brackets and side covers, and consider wheel position, ground clearance and support of the drive. Matching the shaft bore is only one part of selecting the connection: the hub interface and fasteners must also suit the wheel. When replacing a wheel on an existing chassis, compare the removed component before reusing its motor or bracket.

14131R for robotics, AGV, AMR and mobile Mecanum platforms

With a specified size of 254 mm (10 inch), the Nexus 14131R can be considered for a mobile robot or transport platform design. A Mecanum chassis may suit AGV, AMR or driverless transport concepts where sideways movement and controlled alignment are required. These movements depend on the correct wheel arrangement and coordinated drives.

In research and teaching, a suitably assembled robot can serve as a test platform for vehicle kinematics, navigation and control. Mechanical wheel selection and drive control are considered together: where is each wheel positioned, how is each motor controlled, and how much space is available in the frame? Prototype chassis planning provides an opportunity to address these questions before assembly.

For intralogistics or automated material handling, the 14131R version needs to suit the load and floor surface. Its Nylon roller material, dimensions and stated capacity provide the product-specific basis for selection. Consider the vehicle weight and intended payload. When modifying an existing robot, also compare the mounting interface and the other wheels against the revised build.

Selecting the 14131R individual wheel for a chassis

The 14131R is the right-hand version of this series. When ordering a replacement, compare the model number, roller arrangement and position on the vehicle. An individual wheel does not produce omnidirectional platform movement on its own. For a new build, the remaining wheels, motor connections and control system need to work together. Compare related versions or sets using their own specifications before making a selection.
