The 152mm (6 inch) Double Aluminium Omni Wheel from NEXUS Robot is a durable, robust, double-row wheel that offers 360° movement as well as rotational and lateral manoeuvrability. As with all Omni-Wheels, the tread of this Omni-Wheel consists of rollers whose axes of rotation are at a 90° angle to the wheel's axis of rotation. This makes it possible to move the wheel in the axial direction of rotation. The biggest advantage of an Omni-Wheel is that a vehicle with four Omni-Wheels can move in practically any direction without having to change the orientation of the chassis. With very little noise, this type of wheel can move stably and flexibly during operation. Since the Omni Wheel is based on omni-directional drive technology, it can be used to freely control a robot in extremely confined spaces. This (6 inch) 152mm Double Aluminium Omni Wheel can be mounted on the 3WD 152mm Double Aluminum Omni Wheel Arduino robotics car and the 3WD Triangular 152mm Double Aluminum Omni Wheel Mobile robotics kit.
