Phidgets 3326_0 Bipolar Stepper Motor
This NEMA-17 motor has an integrated planetary gearhead with a gear ratio of 13212/289 :1. The rear shaft is exposed, so you can mount an encoder or shaft coupling.
At the output of the gearbox, the step angle is approximately 0.13°. When using the step angle in calculations, you should derive the exact step angle by dividing 1.8° by the reduction ratio of the gearbox.
At 1.7 amps, this stepper motor can produce a maximum torque of 49 kg-cm. However, the gearhead is only rated for a continuous torque of 30 kg-cm. If you load this geared stepper motor beyond the rated torque of the gearbox, its useful life will be shortened.
Connection:
This motor must be controlled by a constant current or chopper drive controller.
Warning:
Connecting the motor directly to a power supply will destroy the motor and void the warranty. If you want to check your motor, make sure it is connected to a constant current/chopper drive controller.
