Phidgets DCC1000_0 DC Motor Phidget

The DC Motor Phidget allows you to control a single DC motor (up to 25 A) or a DC linear drive. It uses high frequency pulse width modulation to achieve smooth operation. This phidget connects to your computer via a VINT hub.

Features:

Controls speed and acceleration -Forward and backward.
Specified target position (requires an encoder)
monitoring of electric current -detection of motor standstill
Connection of potentiometers and other ratiometric sensors -Integration of position feedback without the need for a separate input board
Encoder input - Read the quadrature signal from an encoder attached to the motor shaft. This allows you to create a closed loop position controller.
Temperature monitoring - Your program can respond to changes in controller temperature.

Technical details:

Current control - Limit motor torque.
Isolation - The VINT connection of this device is isolated, which increases reliability and avoids ground loops.
Polarity protection - The unit will not turn on or be damaged if the power supply is connected backwards
Overcurrent protection - Built-in fuse to protect the controller in the event of an overcurrent condition
Failsafe protection - Set the unit to turn off automatically when your program stops responding.
