Phidgets DCC1002_0 4A DC Motor Phidget

The DCC1002 gives you complete control of a brushed DC motor up to 4 amps. It offers a compact, enclosed design that makes it easy to fit into smaller projects. This phidget connects to your computer via a VINT hub.

Features:

Controls motor speed, acceleration, and braking force -Forward and reverse.
Set a specific target position (requires an encoder).
Encoder input - Read the quadrature signal from an encoder attached to the motor shaft. This allows you to create a closed loop position controller.

Technical details:

Isolation - The VINT connector of this device is isolated, which increases reliability and prevents ground loops.
Polarity protection - The device will not turn on and will not be damaged if the power supply is connected backwards
Overcurrent protection - Built-in fuse to protect the controller in case of overcurrent
Overheat protection - Built-in heat sink prevents overheating
Failsafe protection - Set the unit to turn off automatically when your program stops responding.
